Founded by volunteers in 2015, People’s Hero Award is about the courage, bravery, and heroism of those who defended Ukraine’s independence. Initially on Facebook, and now on a brand new website, volunteers save priceless stories about people, real heroes of our country.
MISSION. NEWS. THE BOOK
We have created easy and understandable navigation on the site. It immediately shows the main pages: the project’s mission, news, dates of award ceremonies. A separate page is devoted to the book “People’s Hero of Ukraine,” a place where volunteers immortalize people’s stories under one cover.
ACCESSIBLE FROM ANY DEVICE
Since People’s Hero was initially a Facebook group, a large percentage of the audience uses mobile phones or tablets to access the site. We paid special attention to the mobile version, creating clear and logical navigation. Now everything works smoothly and flawlessly on all devices.
MINIMALISTIC BUT NOT BORING
We created a design that would complement the stories and not distract readers from the main focus, the heroes.
So the design we came up with is clean, restrained, and quite formal. Keeping all the details minimalistic but never boring. The main elements of the interface are smooth corners that emphasize the seriousness and formality; the background elements dilute all this a little.
